On Thursday I sent out a video saying that we were still planning to do our regular worship gatherings this Sunday. That was before Governor Jared Polis conducted a press conference this morning and a conference call for pastors this afternoon advising the temporary cancellation of public gatherings of 250 or more as precautionary measures.

Therefore, we are planning to cancel worship services until it is safe to gather in large groups. We will be streaming one service online at 10 AM each Sunday. You can access it on the Grace Place Facebook page or from a link on our website ( We are not operating out of fear but out of love and responsibility for each other—especially the elderly who are the most vulnerable.

We are putting our “Who Are You?” series on pause this Sunday, and I will be bringing a message of hope and perspective based on God’s promises.

You might want to consider a viewing party with your Community Group or some friends. Also, if you consider Grace Place your church family, and have not set up recurring giving on our website, please consider doing so. Our ministry to those who are vulnerable and hurting will only increase during this season. Thank you for your faithfulness!

If you are elderly, sick, or homebound, and need groceries or other supplies delivered to your home, please let us know. Do not risk big crowds until this passes. It will pass.

We will continue monitoring this situation and keep you informed. I will be in another conference call with the governor on Thursday.

Our motto is faith not fear; prudence not panic. We pray for wisdom for our leaders at all levels and for God’s peace and comfort for all who are hurting in various ways as a result of this virus.

Remember, God is on the throne. He’s not worried, and he has promised to “never leave us or forsake us” (Hebrews 13:5). Put your confidence in him! “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ Surely he will save you…from the deadly pestilence” (Psalms 91:1-3).

With much love,
Pastor Clay

We will not be gathering in our building during this time, rather we will gather online via Facebook or Grace Place Online during regular service times. If you are unable to gather with us live, the sermon video will be on-demand when you are ready. We want to thank you so much for your willingness to continue partnering with Grace Place as we head into this new season. Though we are faced with re-envisioning how we typically “do church” during this time, the staff and team at Grace Place is still fully committed to furthering our mission by breaking barriers, building bridges and bringing hope to our local community and communities around the world.

The easiest and most efficient way to continue partnering with Grace Place is by giving online. To do this you can go directly to our website or you can text any amount to 84321. If you prefer to give by check or cash please email them to Grace Place, 375 Meadowlark Drive, Berthoud CO 80513.

Please continue to worship with us and join us online on Sunday mornings as we continue to stream services and engage in community.  We look forward to the future with hope and reassurance that our God is loving, mighty, and in control.
