A Welcome from Pastor Clay
Hi there!
Grace Place started with a dream. A small group of people had a vision for something different. We were tired of dry, boring traditionalism. We were tired of legalism with its emphasis on lists of dos and don'ts. We desired to create a church with a fresh, creative, joyful worship experience; coupled with a strong commitment to the centrality of the gospel of grace in Christ Jesus.
We specifically targeted the burned, the bored, and the by-passed. It seems like a lot of people don't connect with church because they fall into one of these three categories: burned--those who have been scarred by religion in the past and turned off by hypocrisy, legalism or politics; bored--those who have grown weary of meaningless ritual and routine, and long for a fresh, relevant experience with God; by-passed--those who may never have been able to connect with a church or have any meaningful involvement.
Well, it worked. They came. Hundreds of people now a part of Grace Place were formerly burned, bored, or by-passed. But no longer! Now we're a team of Christ-followers having fun together as we seek to complete our assignment. What is that assignment? The same as the apostle Paul's:
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace. (Acts 20:24)
If you live in northern Colorado and you're not already plugged in at a biblically functioning church, I invite you to come join us. Remember: a church alive is worth the drive!
