Kim Land

My name is Kim Land, and I am privileged to get to serve on the Grace Place staff as the Children's Pastor.  In 1991, I graduated from Ozark Christian College with an Ad. Associate Degree in Bible.  I also received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Missouri Southern State University in 1992.  That same summer I married my husband, Jim Land.  We moved to Oklahoma and lived there for 11 years.  While living there, I taught school in Wagoner and was blessed with two precious children.  My daughter's name is Alexandria.  She is commonly known as Alex and goes to Turner Middle School.  Scott is my son's name, and he attends Berthoud Elementary.

The summer of 2004, we moved to Berthoud, so our children could have the pleasure of growing up with all of their aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents right at their backdoor.  Four of my nieces and nephews are in the children's ministry here at Grace Place.  My own daughter even helps in the toddler room.

If I had to say a vision statement for the children's ministry here at Grace Place, it would be to the acronym “STAR”.  I want all the children to have the opportunity to have Christ's love SHARED with them.  The children's ministry will work as a TEAM doing that.  As the children come to know more about Christ's love for them, I hope they ADVANCE in their relationship with Christ.  While children are advancing in their friendship with Jesus, I want them to be REACHING out to others.  This vision statement can occur in a child's life by getting involved in the many activities we offer for them and their friends here at Grace Place.  Send a note to Kim!
