Iglesia Biblica Lugar de Gracia
Grace Place has partnered with Help International Ministries (HIM) to support and nuture Iglesia Biblica Lugar de Gracia (Grace Place Bible Church) in Madera, Chihuahua, Mexico.
History
The church in Madera was started a few years ago where it grew to about 50 attendees. The founding pastor had to leave and under the new pastor attendance slowly decayed to one adult and 15 children. The discouraged pastor soon left.
From the senior staff directive in January 2004 to develop a strategy for partnering with a church in Mexico to connecting with Phil Roberts, to meeting with Josias and Susi Mendoza, to our first trip to Madera, to our trip this past October, God's involvement has been amazing.
Church attendance has grown to over 90 adults and children. The church expansion has progressed from an item on the five year plan to a fully enclosed structure. The church is now called "the Big Church" by the people of Madera.
