   Sunday Evenings at 6 pm Berthoud Campus Auditorium A six-week series on the principles of interpreting Scripture taught by Pastor Steve. Jesus said search the Scriptures – Paul said study the Scriptures; that Scripture is profitable, and to be careful not to distort the teaching of Scripture. The careful study of the Bible will result in a better under-standing of its content and intent. When you become a Christ follower, you don't stop thinking. Becoming a Christian will sharpen your intelligence – the Bible is an education in itself. Beginning Sunday evening, May 4th, Equipping University will continue with a 6 week series entitled, Making Sense of Scripture. Berthoud campus pastor, Steve Kurtright will be teaching. Pastor Kurtright has been a pastor-teacher for over 30 years and is committed to making Scripture relevant, practical, and understandable. The series will address the process and principals of interpreting the Scripture with an emphasis on interactive exercises in applying those principles. There will be time for Q & A at each session. The series will include the importance of context, word meanings, figures of speech, the gaps in our understanding as well as how to make sense of the prophets, parables, the book of Revelation and more. You are invited to attend whether you are new to Bible study or an old pro. Since each class is independent of the others, you can plan on attending one or all... or anywhere in between. Classes to be held at the Berthoud Campus in the auditorium from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on the following Sunday evenings. A four part introduction to Biblical interpretation is also available on DVD at the Welcome Center.
