Carmen Kamrath

My name is Carmen Kamrath and our family has been attending Grace Place since November, 2005.

I grew up in frigid Minnesota and attended St. Olaf College where I earned a B.A. in psychology.  After college, I moved to the much warmer climate of Arizona to intern in youth ministry.  One of the kids in the youth group set me up with his brother, Dan, and it was a successful match—we've been married for 20 years!

I was on staff as a children's pastor in Phoenix at two different churches for a total of 13 years.  During that time I also completed a M.Ed. in Educational Administration at Arizona State University.

In 2000, our family moved to the “just right” climate of Colorado where I accepted a position as Associate Editor for Children's Ministry Magazine.  I left the magazine in 2002 to serve on staff as a children's pastor at a local church, but went back to Group in 2005 as the Associate Editor for the same magazine!

I'm also currently serving at Grace Place as the Children's Ministry Director for the Loveland campus—I absolutely love working with kids and their families, helping them discover Jesus and His amazing love!

Dan and I have three great kids:  a son, Josh, who currently attends Colorado State University, and two daughters, Alysia and Megan, who both attend Thompson Valley High School.  Our whole family loves serving in ministry together.

In my spare time, I enjoy boating, hanging out with my family, and cheering (from the stands) at TVHS sporting events.
